Artists Circle under a registered trust- the Artists Welfare Trust is an ambitious project. It has completed its fifth year this April. Considering what the gallery has offered over the last five years quite elucidates the fact that the policy that has distinguished it has been its respect for senior talents and discernment of new promise. It has also taken enormous care to put contemporary Indian art before the public in a balanced and coherent manner. Though its emphasis has largely been on Bengal art, in particular, the gallery has also showcased meaningful works from other regions at regular intervals.

Objectives

. Promote and develop, art and culture, including paintings, sculptures, and different forms of art, both traditional and modern;
. Organize exchange residency workshops through our Culture Connect Program with artists from different states of India and outside the Country;
. Develop, build or acquire hostels, or shelter, for artists, their family or persons engaged for promoting, art, music, culture in general irrespective of caste creed or religion:
. Manage, maintain and run Art centers, engaged in the development and promotion of Art & Culture;
. Carry out publications, documentary films, serials, books, on literature, art & culture, for useful benefit and for promotion of knowledge in the field of Art.

Our Social Responsibilities

. Scholarships for meritorious final year postgraduate students ;
. Medical insurance coverage and medical support extended to ill artists;
. Creative classes to underprivileged children- a unique concept of providing all round creative activities under one roof by trained faculties;
. Encourage young artists such as musicians, poets and others through activities;
